We are fine. All good, here. So far.
House happy, no damage.
The suburb around me – not faring so well.
…
Here’s what I saw on the way home Thursday night.
(That’s roofing iron in the top of the tree…)
Here’s what I saw on my to work yesterday morning.
And here’s the reason R was so late and had to take the ‘long way home’.
Some local photos from news.com.au and some from friends.
Stay safe.

Glad to know that you are alright- it looks like a pretty terrifying storm.
Hope that the weather is improving and that the worst of it is over for you all.

Oh man, it really brings it home when I see those pics. I really must check up to see if my former boss and his family is okay – he’s in The Gap. I only just realised where all this was happening. Glad you’re alright – imagine, all your renovating. Doesn’t bear thinking about…

Thankfully, Thursday night’s storm missed us cause I was actually at a mother’s dinner at a local tavern during it! But we did cop Sunday’s, as you saw.
Glad to hear that you are ok. And the house is fine, too. I’ve never seen so much green debris in all of my life!

Its funny – with each storm and the list of suburbs worst affected, my immediate thoughts were towards those I knew in that area.
When I heard that pub lost its roof, I thought “RW lives in that general vicinity” – glad to hear you are okay!

So pleased to know you are well and safe. Amazing shots… some of this is so close to where we used to live. We had some heavy storm activity but managed to avoid this kind of chaos.
Hope the follow-up storms have been kinder and that that bucket can stay safely put away and some rain can be enjoyed down there (cause we sure are keen for a bit more!!!).
Hugs

Wow! Strong weather. I’m pleased to hear you were all okay. Queensland can really turn it on.
My mum in Albany, WA, said that on Friday night (21st) they had a whopping 6 inches of rain, and that it rained continuously for eight or nine days altogether.
Amazing.
